The short version
Your images are never uploaded. All resizing, cropping, compression and format conversion happens inside your own browser on your own device. We never receive, see, store or transmit your image files.
Images you process
When you add images to ShrinkFox, they are read into your browser's memory and processed locally. They are not sent to our servers or to any third party. When you close or refresh the tab, they are discarded. We keep no copies because we never receive any.
Information we do collect
ShrinkFox does not require an account and we do not ask for your name, email address or any other personal detail to use the tool.
Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps — which are used for security and to keep the site running.
Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how many people use the site and which features get used. This collects aggregate usage data, not the contents of your images.
Advertising
We may display advertising on this site, including through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors including Google use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to our site and/or other sites. The ShrinkFox tool itself does not require cookies to function. Cookies may be set by analytics or advertising services as described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the tool will continue to work normally.
Children
ShrinkFox is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
